Dr. Alinaghian, who has lived in Irvine for the past twenty-five years, has always been interested in community services ever since his graduation from College in 1974. Dr. Alinaghian attended a military academy high school from 1961 to 1964. After graduation from the military academy, he attended West Virginia University receiving a pre-med degree. Upon graduation from the optometry school in 1974, he stared his practice in Fountain Valley Calif. where he became very active in community services and the civic groups.


Dr. Alinaghian has been an active board member in Fountain Valley Lions Club, board member of Fountain Valley Boys and Girls Club, Board member of United Crusade of Orange County, Board member of Jaycees, Member of the Chamber of Commerce, and frequent lecturer in the Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach school Districts. Dr. Alinaghian was also one of the founders of the largest Iranian groups, Network of Iranian-American Professionals of Orange County (NIPOC), in 1986.


Dr. Alinaghian has always been interested in the multicultural groups in Irvine . As the president of Greater Irvine Lions Club in 2002-2003, feeling the need for a more diverse group, he changed the name to Irvine Multi-cultural Lions Club in which the publicity attracted few new multi-nationality members.
